Loaded chairman Jay-Z takes the intro rap on Kanye West’s much-anticipated “Power” remix (yes—it’s finally here). At the onset, Hova weaves his rhymes around the extended track while Kanye intones the chorus, and manages to namecheck Axl Rose, Norman Mailer and even—oh, yes he did—Taylor Swift. Listen below!

Jay-Z & Swizz Beatz – Power (Remix)” dl=”0″] West himself offers up some sage advice for those who think power (i.e. fame) isn’t within their reach: “Now we all ain’t gonna be American Idols, but you can at least grab a camera, shoot a viral.”

By the end of the just-over-five-minute tour de force, ‘Ye segues from a political moment (“Bring our troops back from Iraq/Keep our troops out of Iran”) to a NSFW one about his own virility.

The remix of “Power” is certainly as big and boastful as the original song’s music video. (In fact, the only thing that could possibly have added a bit more muscle to the mix would have been an appearance from this dude.) And the true master stroke comes at about the 3:20 mark, when suddenly the sample of Snap!’s 1990 dance jam “The Power” kicks in.

So what say you—was the “Power” remix worth the wait? Do Jay and the newly-hitched Swizz Beatz add some decent flavor to Kanye’s latest single?

(Personally, they had us once Hov used the word “beyotches.”)
