Given that Kylie Minogue wrangled in Stuart Price to help shape her latest LP Aphrodite after she was unhappy with the initial recording sessions, there are likely at least a handful (if not a dozen?) unreleased tracks out there. The first  major one to surface is the clubby “Change Your Mind,” which was produced by Canadian DJ/producer deadmau5. Listen below!

Still, it’s interesting to note that Kylie—who’s no stranger to turning out the occasional offbeat collaboration—can give even a heavier dance jam like this some rays of her trademark sunshine.

Meanwhile, even though deadmau5’s pairing with Kylie didn’t receive an official release, he can at least take pride in the fact that he’s been selected as the official house DJ for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (airing Sunday, September 12). MTV reports that the 29-year-old from Niagara Falls will jam with Jason Derulo, Travie McCoy and Robyn at the event.

“Deadmau5 is fantastic and I’m super-duper excited to be able to perform for the VMA audience,” Robyn said in an e-mail. The Swedish singer will be doing a new rendition of her summer single “Dancing On My Own” at the VMAs.

Consider us super-duper excited, too.
