MTV VMAs viewers didn’t have to look too far when it came time to vote for the night’s best performance—they chose opening act Eminem, who kicked out a stirring rendition of his Best Male Video-winning chart topper “Not Afraid” before being joined by Rihanna for their smash “Love The Way You Lie.” So who else did fans find captivating during the televised event?

MTV News notes that the site got thousands of responses after asking readers which artist rocked their world most during Sunday’s VMAs. And below are the top five of the night.

1. Eminem and Rihanna (“Not Afraid/Love The Way You Lie”) 2. Taylor Swift (“Innocent”) 3. Nicki Minaj and will.i.am (“Your Love/Check It Out”) 4. Kanye West (“Runaway”) 5. Linkin Park (“The Catalyst”)

Damn—no love for Florence + The Machine (one of our personal faves–though we may be biased)? Well, at least Flo didn’t come in last. That dubious honor, MTV reports, goes to both Justin Bieber and Drake.
