Watch Britney Spears’ Most Glee-ful TV Moments

We’re just one day away from Glee‘s monumental “Britney/Brittany” episode featuring the pop hits of Ms. Spears (as well as a cameo by the pop star herself!), and we’ve decided to pass the excruciatingly long hours by taking a look back at Brit’s most memorable performances on the small screen. Whether guest-starring on sitcoms, variety shows or voicing cartoons, Britney has left her goofy, undeniably entertaining mark on television history. (And we don’t mean by her involuntary appearances on TMZ‘s trashy TV show.) Watch the singer’s six best boob tube clips below the jump:

#6 – Britney doubled her talents in both 2000 and 2002, playing both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Watch her breasts deliver the opening monologue below:

And we don’t know remember what was happening in this skit exactly, but that doesn’t make it any less funny:

#5 – Britney plays herself performing “Drive Me Crazy” on Sabrina The Teenage Witch while giving dance lessons to Melissa Joan Hart, who, you may recall, starred in the movie Drive Me Crazy that had Brit’s song as its lead single on the soundtrack. How convenient they were both named the same thing!

#4 – Brit voiced the Simpson-ized version of herself as she co-hosted the Springfield Pride Awards for an episode back in 2000. It’s a chuckle-worthy cameo, but nearly not long enough to quell our thirst for an animated Britney. Bring her back on The Simpsons as Maggie’s new babysitter, Moe’s famous pop star niece named Betty Smears, or something, we don’t care. Just bring her back and give her more lines!

#3 – Britney played “hardcore” lesbian and conservative Christian TV host, Amber Louise, on Will & Grace back in the show’s finale season. Video not embeddable, so head on over to YouTube, ya’ll.

#2 – Britney was reportedly a big fan of the show, and that was enough to get her a reoccurring guest spot as a receptionist at a tattoo removal clinic who drools over Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother. Her hair extensions still looked unready for the camera, and her comedic timing is a little off, but after suffering through a major breakdown and a widely panned VMA performance six months earlier, it was great to see Brit having some fun.

#1 – Britney’s greatest television moments came at the very start of her career — as a Mousketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club. Britney sang and danced on the Disney Channel show—watch her belting out Bizarre’s 90s hit “I’m Gonna Get You”:

And see her acting skills finely on display in this bad breath commercial, featuring Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, who both have also had varying degrees of success as legitimate actors. (Justin won an Emmy. And Christina is starring in Burlesque, which will soon find a home on VH1’s Movies That Rock series.)

Bonus! It doesn’t really count as acting, unless Britney was pulling a Joaquin Phoenix years before Joaquin went publicly nutso for his fake documentary, but here’s the pop star’s black mark on television, the so-bad-it’s-amazing reality show, Britney & Kevin: Chaotic. Chaotic, it was.

What TV show should Britney guest star on next? Should she be Don Draper’s new secretary on Mad Men? Or replace Michael Scott on The Office? Let us know in the comments!
