Despite spending the summer making the rounds on the talk show circuit to promote Last Train To Paris, Diddy-Dirty Money’s album appears to be be pushed back indefinitely. But is anyone really all that bothered? After listening to the slow-jam “Shades”, featuring Justin Timberlake and Lil Wayne, who doesn’t let a little thing like jail keep him from being featured on every other track to drop this summer—we’re not sure we’re too upset by an album delay. Listen below.

The track, which clocks at over five minutes, is about four and a half minutes too long. Lil Wayne opens it up with some awful gravel-voiced spoken word poetry (“she must be the one, when I look at her, I see the sun”), before Diddy slides in, singing that he would “do anything for you… I’ll even take off my shades.” Wow, what a gentlemen!

Worst of all, for some reason Diddy decided to have Justin Timberlake rap instead of giving him the hook to showcase his falsetto. That’s a song fail right there, folks.

Diddy’s far superior single, the sweet and melodic “Loving You No More” featuring Drake, hit iTunes today. Go pick that up instead of replaying this jumble of inconsistent beats.
