Chris Brown is still a polarizing figure among music fans, but it appears many of his major hip-hop compadres are more than happy to continue collaborating with him. Brown managed to lock an impressive assortment of big names for his “Deuces” remix—T.I., Fabolous, Kanye West, Andre 3000 and Drake all contribute on the laid-back jam, which is basically composed of an extremely simple, lighthearted synth line that lays back as each rappers takes a turn at the mic. “You with all those curves and me with no brakes,” Drake drawls in the slow-rolling track’s opening moments.
Other notable lyrics? “You should be a travel agent, cause you a trip / You should make your own toilet tissue, cause you the shit,” adds Kanye in the middle. Not our favorite lines from West, unfortunately. (And what’s with all these puns?) And Andre’s entire verse seems to be him trying to come up with rhymes with “whore”. Ugh.
So many people, and yet not one of them says anything clever or interesting. Even Brown’s memorable chorus doesn’t even kick in til the fourth minute, and it feels like an eternity to get there.

I absolutley love Drake, but his verse didn’t cut it for me. It sounded like it was a totally different song that he was rapping to. The “Miss Me” piece in the background, after Chris’ verse messed the song up. T.I. KILLED IT! The beat and his verse were just amazing together. Kanye… Well, he was Kanye. He sucked. Fabolous was great. I Loved Chris Brown’s arrival in the song after Fabolous’ part! Andre 3000 sounded as if his mouth was wired shut. His background singing was okay. Chris should of sang more in the song.
I missed Chris Brown’s singing a lot in this remix. It would have been way better with a little more of him in this song and a lot less of Kanye, Andre 3000, and =( Drake. I thought Drake was gonna kill it. Oh, well. I still love his work!
