Earlier this year Goldfrapp released the brilliant but too-short album Head First, which offered only nine songs. As an end-of-the-year bonus, the pair have a new track called “We Radiate” that appears on the upcoming soundtrack to TV’s The Vampire Diaries. (Maybe the occult Ian Somerhalder soap is what inspired their recent bloodsucker-themed “Alive” video?) Head below to hear the ‘frapp’s latest.
Goldfrapp - We Radiate
“We Radiate” seems like it could have been recorded during the Head First sessions. In fact, the intro is highly reminiscent of album track “I Wanna Life,” though it winds up being quite slower than said peppy synth jam. (We can’t have handsome vamps seeming too upbeat, now can we?)
Overall, it’s a four-star Goldfrapp track. But judging by the iTunes pre-order for the Vampire Diaries soundtrack (out October 11), it’s looking like “We Radiate” will be an “album only” offering, which means you have to download the full thing to get it.

they should release it as a single, like one of the old singles in the 70s and 80′s where songs didnt have to be on an album to be a single, i they made a little video for it could be say a small christmas hit. and it would suprise many people, although I get the idea that its just a song that didnt make it on to the album
