Kanye West’s Epic ‘Runaway’ Film Debuts Worldwide

October 23rd, 2010 // 3 Comments

After weeks of buildup, Kanye West’s art film/music mega-video debuted worldwide tonight, just as he wanted it to, more or less. As we mentioned after seeing the U.S. premiere, the 35-minute film tells the tale of a phoenix who falls to earth and tries to fit into modern culture, with an epic soundtrack built from nine of Ye’s new songs. Watch the whole film, which kicks off with Nicki Minaj’s narration, and see (finally!) the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy tracklisting below.

Kanye clearly felt that the arrival of the film marked a real “MJ”-style event, and a big moment for hip-hop. And it was. His album will be too. The official tracklist for his new LP includes at least four G.O.O.D. Friday singles, in addition to the massive 11-guest “All Of The Lights”.

1. Dark Fantasy
2. Gorgeous (feat. Kid Cudi and Raekwon)
3. Power
4. All of the Lights
5. Monster (feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver)
6. So Appalled (feat. Jay-Z, Pusha T, CyHi the Prynce, Swizz Beatz, and RZA)
7. Devil In A New Dress
8. Runaway (feat. Pusha T)
9. Hell of a Life
10. Blame Game (ft. John Legend and Pusha T)
11. Lost in the World
12. See Me Now

We don’t care which cover he ends up with (new or banned) — this album is going to be something special.
