Ke$ha Returns Feeling “Sleazy”

October 28th, 2010 // 3 Comments

Look, we’re as stunned as anyone else that Ke$ha’s “pride anthem” didn’t immediately result in the calling of a joint session of Congress to settle the ongoing debate over gay rights. Maybe her message of tolerance went over some people’s heads. But we think her newest Cannibal track conveys a simpler message: it’s called “Sleazy”. Listen to the classy gold-toothed hitmaker (and Halloween inspiration) tell a suitor how unimpressed she is by the trappings of wealth.

Ke$ha - Sleazy

That pounding track comes courtesy of producer Bangladesh, who positions Ke$ha to show off her talent at riding a beat through an extended verse. It’s an interesting departure from the dance-pop atmospherics that vaulted her to stardom. Now if only someone would wash out her mouth with soap. Yeesh.

  1. This reminds me of Lady Sovereign by a lot, I like it though. I just don’t know if this entirely works for her.

I have to say I like all of Keisha’s songs, but this is by far my favorite one… I love this song. This is the 11th time I have listened to it today… Can’t get tired of it.
