Swizz Beatz Offers Another Monster Monday Track With Pusha T And Pharrell

Swizz is churning out the goods on this first day of November – the producer released a brand new Monster Monday track, “Bang Bang”, featuring Pusha T and Pharrell. Funny, giving your song almost exactly the same title as another song released the same year (in this case, it would be Mark Ronson’s “Bang Bang Bang“) has been a running theme the past few weeks. Is everyone getting lazy, or have we just run out of possible word combinations? In any case, jump below to hear the jam.

Boasting futuristic synths with a spiraling, quick-paced beat, Pharrell shows off his patented falsetto on the chorus, while Pusha T growls through the rest. Swizz’s latest weekly release is definitely more polished than last week’s “DJ Play the Beat” with Estelle, but it’s definitely not as memorable.

This new trend of giving away a new track every week is an interesting challenge, and a good way to test out public reaction to a song before slapping it on an album. Sure, giving music away for free is certainly nothing new for hip-hop artists and rappers, what with mixtapes being the norm. But now with Swizz’s Monster Mondays, the rest of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Fridays and Timbaland’s newly announced Timbo Thursdays, we’ve got a new jammin’ weekly calendar in our possession!
