Tomorrow singer/author Ricky Martin will do his first interview since coming out as a gay man on The Oprah Winfrey Show. But ahead of that, his new bluesy single “The Best Thing About Me Is You” has hit the Internet. What a coincidence! Hear it below.
Ricky has clearly mellowed since his “Livin’ La Vida Loca” and “Shake Your Bon-Bon” days. Chalk it up to fatherhood?
This isn’t anything groundbreaking from the Latin heartthrob. More like nice dinner party music. Still, the addition of Joss Stone’s warm vocals here gives the song a nice touch. Maybe the Rickster’s got more exciting fare in the pipeline?
Like Enrique Iglesias earlier this year, Martin is due to release a bilingual album in early 2011. “The Best Thing About Me Is You” is the first single off the upcoming set, and a Spanish version of the tune featuring Natalia Jiminez is also being offered.

The best thing about this mediocre song is Joss Stone whom I love, the song overall is easily forgettable and at certain parts I thought the song was going to break into a verse from Taio Cruz “Break Your Heart”.
