Mariah Carey Exclaims “Oh Santa!” In Her Jolly New Video
Mariah Carey is in a giving mood this holiday season – after gifting us an “Oh Santa!” vid featuring animation, home movies and behind-the-scenes footage of Mimi working in the studio, the glowing mommy-to-be has filmed an official video for her delightful new Christmas single. Access Hollywood premiered the X-mas vid, filmed as though it was taken straight from a variety show back in the 50s, complete with backup singers and screaming fans. Wearing her fanciest yuletide maternity chic, the video for Carey’s lead single from her Merry Christmas II You album favors close-ups of Mimi’s face so that you don’t spend the whole time staring at her bump.
There’s not much to this simple vid, but it does feature Carey doing her usual hand waving theatrics while hitting some absolutely killer high notes. (Oh, old Mariah’s falsetto! We missed you!) There’s no other pop star we’d rather deck our halls with.
