It’s been two-and-a-half years since Frankmusik (aka Vincent Frank) released his debut album Complete Me in the UK. And with the follow-up finally due out in spring 2011 via Cherrytree (Lady Gaga, La Roux, Robyn), the electro-pop whiz has unveiled the gritty black and white video for his new single “The Fear Inside.” Watch below.
In the clip, Frank is seen solemnly walking through both the streets of Los Angeles and the desert, seemingly plagued by flashbacks of a young woman. (Perhaps the one who got away?) The very last image shows the singer still walking alone in the street, his demons left unconquered.
Whatever the fear is inside of Frankmusik, it’s quite sexy in nature. And after a stint following his debut LP where he appeared to have been relegated to being a remixer of other artists’ songs (check his reworkings of Lady Gaga’s “Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)” and Pet Shop Boys’ “Love etc.”), this new single certainly has our curiosity piqued for his new material.

I’m not familiar with his work but this has a almost generic 80′s pop sound which, I’m not entirely sure is a bad thing but its definitely not winning me over in the current form.
After clicking the “3 Little Words” link and browsing some of his other music its safe to say the generic 80′s thing is indeed his sound, and honestly, I like it.
Check out “Better off as Two” its legit!
