Looks like Katy Perry’s next album might be released under the name Katy Brand. During the patriotic performer‘s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, Ellen asked the “Firework” songstress if she’d ever consider changing her name now that she’s married to Russell Brand. “Yes—I am, actually,” Perry (born Katy Hudson) blurted out. She then looked around nervously for a split second before just coming out with it. “I’m in the process.” Watch below.
Katy also discussed her and her husband’s penchant for just hanging out at home with their cats Kitty Purry, Morrissey and Krusty (“Krusty is Katy and Rusty, but meshed together.”). Ah, wedded bliss…

Do you think Katy Brand has the same ring as Katy Perry? And does this now mean Kitty Purry will be Kitty Brandy? Man, we’re going to be up all night pondering this. Dammit.
I like Katy Perry, her new name its, diferent!
Id continue going with Katy Perry for a stage name it always seemed vibrant and different and it just sounds more fun and interesting than Katy Brand.
