‘X Factor’ Winner Matt Cardle Unveils His Quickly Made “When We Collide” Video

Matt Cardle only won UK reality talent series The X Factor on Sunday, but his video for his “winner’s single” has already arrived. “When We Collide”, a re-named cover of Biffy Clyro’s “Many Of Horror” (perhaps that didn’t have the right ring to it with the holidays approaching?), is currently on track to debut at the top of the UK singles chart this Sunday. See if you dig the song or the hastily-cobbled-together video below.

From the look and sound of things, Matt appears to be cut from the Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze mold of guitar-strumming artists who emerge successfully from reality shows. Although, for the sake of his longevity, let’s hope he’s a bit more Kris Allen than Lee DeWyze. Of course, aiming to be more Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood would be a bigger plus.

Anyway, here’s “When We Collide”, which is basically Cardle in a blue button-down shirt playing guitar with a montage of his X Factor moments spliced in.
