Will.i.am Fumbles With New Track “Don’t Trip”

There’s a new funky will.i.am jam circulating the web this week, “Don’t Trip”, with the mixmeister handling the beats, vocals and everything else totally solo from the rest of the Peas. It’s classic club fare like everything else will puts out, though we’re not sure where this one will end up. We’ll assume he’s keeping “Don’t Trip” for his own as opposed to adding it into the Black Eyed Peas canon of irresistible (or not) dance pop. Jump below to listen to the mega-producer’s latest.

There’s a decent beat in there, but the repetition of “don’t trip” and all the ways in which will.i.am is a “hustlah” is driving us crazy, and not in a euphoric, energizing late night party way, but in a “seriously, this is pretty annoying” fashion. Hey, at least (to our knowledge, anyway) will didn’t mangle a beloved 80s song in this one. Like it? Loathe it? Tell us in the comments.
