After being chosen by The People, Katy Perry has now been picked to guest star on How I Met Your Mother. The sitcom has a history of booking pop acts to appear on the show, from Britney Spears to Nicole Scherizinger to Carrie Underwood, and now it’s tapped Perry to play a potential love interest for Ted, seeker of the titular mother. Between this, her bizarre appearance on The Simpsons, and her upcoming role as Smurfette in the Smurf movie, Katy’s clearly making a pass to become a multi-hyphenate singer-actress.
