It’s snowing in Taylor Swift’s house as she sings out her sad regrets over a love lost in her “Back To December” music video. Is this perfect timing, considering the crooning CoverGirl and her most recent alleged boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal are said to have split up? Watch below.
The “Back To December” video begins with the object of Taylor’s affection trudging over crunchy snow to a set of school bleachers, while Swift herself is in the kitchen, reflecting back on their relationship.
Tay Tay then moves to the bedroom and sits on the floor as it begins to snow. Clearly she has yet to have her home properly insulated.
But as we know, Taylor isn’t one to keep her feelings about her exes bottled up. She writes out a letter and sticks it in the guy’s jacket before he stops by to pick up his stuff. Later he finds the note just as the video ends.
“Back To December” has long been rumored to be about Swift’s relationship with actor Taylor Lautner. The song appears on her latest album Speak Now, which is currently #1 on the Billboard Top 200 for a sixth non-consecutive week (though it just set a record low for sales of a #1 album).
Speak Now was the second best-selling album of 2010, coming in just behind Eminem’s Recovery.
So how do you rate Taylor’s “Back To December” video? Is it one of her best, or did you like “Mine” better?

To be honest, I have never understood why she is famous for her mediocre talent and writing ability and considering I don’t pull back on my contepmt for this ‘singer’ and her lack of actually being able to SING, this is one of the best songs (and now video) I have seen lately. If fits her voice perfectly and it is a very good song. The emotion she brings to it is freshing since she normally looks scared to death while performing. Maybe, this will be her chance to put everyone in their place about her talent, including me. This song will do well and the video will make it even more popular.
I liked “mine” better.
i think it wasn’t really all that necessary for the music video to be sad. It could have been, u know, he and she bump into one another at a place and end up talking and explaining everything.. replaying what happened.. and what not.. its just like white horse all over again. :P sorry, taylor.. i give it 1/5 stars.
