With the reveal today of Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale album cover, naturally the Internet is buzzing with anticipation for the singer’s new material. But in the early a.m. TMZ posted an item about Brit clashing with her “Hold It Against Me” video director Jonas Åkerlund while on the set. Whether or not that’s true, the site at least got some decent quotes from Jonas himself, who had nothing but praise for Spears. See what he had to say below. “[Britney’s] been great throughout the entire process. At the end of the shoot I got the warmest hug I ever got from an artist, and I look forward to hugging her again very soon!” Jonas told TMZ. “I’ve been around long enough to know when an artist gives it their all, and to me It doesn’t get better than this.”

Previously, Swedish director Åkerlund got behind the lens for such videos as Madonna’s “Ray Of Light,” Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” Pink’s “Sober” and Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone.”

But as for “Hold It Against Me,” he said, “This video is gonna be fucking awesome. It’s all Britney.”

Hopefully the clip premieres soon. While “Hold It Against Me” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 two weeks ago, it slid to #6 the following week. And today Billboard reports that digital sales of the single were down 38% since the last chart was published.
