Hmm… Is it just us, or is this not the first time Janet Jackson has made headlines on Superbowl Sunday? Far from the football-related hoopla happening stateside, Idolator’s favorite Barbie Girl made a life-sized appearance in Manila on Friday, launching her world tour in the Philippines. It’s been three years since the For Colored Girls star last toured, but the fortysomething icon proved nothing has been lost in the meantime as far as her dancing is concerned (and she still looks great in skin-tight clothing, too). Jackson plans to make her way through Asia before reaching the U.S. in March, but for now you can catch her performing her greatest hits at the Manila concert right after the jump.

anyone who pays good money to listen to her pre-recorded whispering and watch her stale 80′s choreography get what they deserve….oh, and ‘colored girls’ was a huge flop, not something to be touted as an accomplishment. what the heck is with this site and its teenaged ‘rah-rah everything is great’ articles ??

Still hoping to see Janet in Montreal. I know, I know, now there are two dates for Toronto (six hours drive from my town ), but I still hope Janet adds at least one date both in Canada’s western region (e.g. Vancouver) as well eastern part (Montreal please).
