We were so blindsided by the arrival of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and its rapid acsent to the top of the pop heap over the past week that we completely forgot about the Grammy-winning songstress‘ duet with Sir Elton John, “Hello Hello,” which appears in the film Gnomeo & Juliet (but not on the soundtrack). The animated adventure opened in theaters a week ago, and naturally some rascal recorded the tune while sitting in front of the silver screen and threw it online. Listen below. Sir Elt, who co-produced Gnomeo and wrote the music for the movie, famously declared last fall that Gaga’s “Born This Way” would become the defining gay anthem that would “completely get rid of Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’.”

But while we’re waiting for that to happen, here’s “Hello Hello”—it’s cheery, upbeat and everything you’d expect a ballad from an animated movie about Shakespearean love between two garden gnomes to be!

Side note: fans of old-school Elton will pick up on the slight lyrical resemblance to “Harmony,” off John’s classic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album.
