Miguel Is A “Sure Thing” On ‘Leno’
When an up-and-coming artist is trying to promote his new single, one sure thing is that he’ll be appearing as the musical guest on a lot of late-night shows, and Miguel is no exception. The Yeasayer fan dropped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night to croon “Sure Thing,” complete with a glowing lightsaber-esque microphone and robot-stiff backup whose look seems at least partially Ewok-inspired. Does the futuristic vibe work for Usher’s concert buddy? See for yourself below.
Seeing as how this fits in with the glowing-lipstick blacklight thing Miguel has already started, we think the Force is with him on this one. He’s giving us a little bit Usher, a little bit Prince. And of course, a little bit Darth Vader.
Oh — and did we mention he sounds great, too?
