Katy Perry Covers “Only Girl (In The World)”, “Big Pimpin’” & “Whip My Hair”

Katy Perry kicked off her California Dreams tour in Lisbon last night (the U.S. leg begins in Atlanta on June 7), and the “E.T.” songstress showed her appreciation for her pop peers by singing through an acoustic medley of Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In The World),” Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’” and Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair.” Is it just coincidence that both Willow and Rihanna were signed by Jay-Z? Hmmmm. Watch below.

During her stint as a virtual jukebox, Katy, who was snubbed by the Grammys last week despite several nominations, also gave a birthday shout-out out to her pal Rihanna, who turned 23 yesterday.

And dig that bit with the flute during “Big Pimpin’,” where our teenage dreamer is caught clearly faking it!
