While the finishing touches are being put on the music video for Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends,” her second single from upcoming album Femme Fatale (out March 29), the LP has already hit the Internet, and our readers have sounded off in a poll we posted last week regarding what should be her next single choice. Head below to see the results of that, plus the jam Idolator visitors chose as her most hit-worthy non-Top 20 single in a separate poll.
First up, we posted seven Femme Fatale song titles and asked our readers to vote for the one they felt should be issued as the third official single from the album.
“I Wanna Go” was the clear-cut winner, snagging a whopping 32% of the vote.
A week earlier, we rounded up a selection of Brit-Brit’s singles that failed to land in the Top 20 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart over the years. In the end, it was “I’m A Slave 4 U,” her lead offering from 2001 album Britney, that voters sided with and felt should have placed higher than #27 on the chart. (Personally, yours truly has always been more fond of “Overprotected.”)

I personally voted for How I Roll, its my favorite song the album closely followed by Trip To Your Heart her camp doesn’t seem to have faith in her to release her softer chipper songs like they used to
Sometimes>Lucky>Im Not Girl Not Yet A Woman>Everytime
They haven’t bothered since In The Zone’s Every time, tho none of them are as good as How I Roll or Trip To Your Heart
Radar should be #2 on the second pole (when I first heard Radar I thought it was going to be her next toxic, but then she threw out that lazy video and I knew the song was DOA)
Someone is a fan of Brit’s Bloodshy & Avant jams! ;)
I personally am hoping for either “Inside Out” or “Criminal” as the next single, as they are my overall favorite songs on the album. “I Wanna Go” is a GREAT song and super catchy, but I think it’s time Britney releases something a bit different, and “I Wanna Go” is a pretty standard, repetitive club-thumper that I don’t think would really increase anyone’s opinion of her as an artist.
I’m worried that “Big Fat Bass” may be a single… it would be just like her label to release it JUST BECAUSE it has Will.I.Am in it. They would look at it and be like “oh, this is a collaboration with one of music’s other big superstars, we should totally do it as a single!” I personally don’t hate the song, but it’s definitely sort of a mess compared to the fantastic quality of the rest of the album.
“Femme Fatale” is a stellar album, and blows “Circus” right out of the water! I’m SOOOO excited to see all the promo next week! As Britney said, “I am in L-O-V-E with this album!”
I love I Wanna Go and would be happy if it got released as single but I really like Gasoline a lot! I hope it can make it as a single or Criminal as well.
