Kelly Rowland’s saucy Lil Wayne-featuring “Motivation” video premiered yesterday, and the singer hit up BET’s 106 & Park to discuss her upcoming album, which she says will finally be coming out “toward the end of the summer.” Geez, remember when we all thought it would be out last summer? Head below to hear what “Gone” girl Ms. Kelly had to spill about her upcoming record. Rowland stated that her new album celebrates how phenomenal and incredible women are. “It actually starts with ‘Motivation,’ which is of course letting in on that sensual side,” Kelly said. “But the album tells the story of everything else—strength and character…friendship. It’s fantastic. I can’t wait till everybody hears the album towards the end of the summer.”

Next she rattled off some of the producers she collaborated with on the album, including Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Rodney Jerkins, RedOne, Dr. Luke and Ester Dean.

With rumblings that Beyonce’s next album will be out by early summer, is it any wonder that her former Destiny’s Child partner in divadom is holding out for a few months before releasing her own LP?
