We were honored to hang tight with Patrick Stump at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood last night (check back soon for our interview!) before he performed two high-energy sets back-to-back for sold-out crowds, made up of both Fall Out Boy fans and supporters of his new solo tunes. Besides singing tracks from his Truant Wave EP, the soul punker dropped remixed covers of Cobra Starship’s “Kiss My Sass”, Gym Class Heroes’ “Cupid’s Chokehold” (both which he produced), and Kanye West’s “All Of The Lights”, and even slayed it on the piano belting out Billy Paul’s “Me And Mrs. Jones”. No offense to his FOB bandmates, but Stump’s shining bright while out on his own.
