Lil Wayne To Get Intimate With MTV Unplugged Special In June

Lil Wayne has certainly proven to be quite the character when he’s out of his element. So expect some off-the-cuff things when MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged airs on June 12, just nine days before the arrival of the “6 Foot 7 Foot” rapper’s Tha Carter IV LP. MTV News reports that Wayne will perform acoustic versions of his hits on the special, which comes 10 years after Jay-Z served up MTV’s last rap unplugged concert. Also on Wayne’s calendar that same weekend: the Bonnaroo fest in Manchester, Tennessee.
