The world’s most powerful entertainer, Lady Gaga, has yet to comment on the early Internet leak of her album Born This Way, but that’s not stopping her from keeping the tracks coming herself. The pop star’s bonus track “Fashion Of His Love” surfaced today via Facebook game Farmville. (If you can think of a more bizarre way of releasing a song, we’d like to hear it.) The poppy dance tune sounds so straight out of the 80s it’s practically wearing a scrunchie. Listen below.

[FYI – the audio in this clip makes Gaga’s voice sound a bit more high-pitched than it is on the actual track. So keep that in mind.]

Lady Gaga – “Fashion Of His Love”

Gaga sings about finding love she never knew before on this track that is, as PopDust astutely points out, basically a take on Whitney Houston’s 1987 hit “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”. Ripping off Madonna is so three months ago!

Well, this at least makes much more sense why Gaga thanked Whitney at the Grammys when accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album. “I wanted to thank Whitney because when I wrote Born this Way,” she told the crowd. “I imagined she was singing it — because I wasn’t secure enough in myself to imagine I was a superstar. So, Whitney, I imagined you were singing Born This Way when I wrote it.”

Head to Rickey.org to stream other bonus tracks “The Queen”and “Black Jesus, American Fashion”, in which Gaga declares, “Jesus is the new black.” Is she lifting her lyrics from graphic t-shirts now?
