After a brief hiatus, the Billboard Music Awards returned to television to honor this year’s chart toppers. Pop stars (both best and worst dressed) came to rock the MGM Garden Arena and to reap the benefits of their musical efforts. The evening was full of excitement for Justin Bieber (and not just when the Biebs gave girlfriend Selena Gomez a big smooch before his acceptance speech), as the “Baby” singer walked away with a whopping six awards. It makes us wonder: is it girls who run the world or Beliebers? Jump below for a full list of winners, performance highlights — including the advertised Britney Spears and Rihanna performance, with a pillow fight, — and watch Cee-lo manage to top his Grammy muppet spectacle!
Rihanna (feat. Britney Spears) — “S&M”
Shouldn’t a song banned in 11 countries be saved for the end of the show after the kids have gone to bed? We know it’s in the spirit of Vegas, but having Rihanna and Britney grinding on the poles during a prime time Sunday night time slot (on network TV) is a little much. Then again, this is more dancing than we saw Brit do in her entire “Till The World Ends” music video, so we really shouldn’t be complaining.
Beyonce — “Run The World (Girls)” + tribute featuring Michelle Obama, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, Bono and Stevie Wonder
How is it possible that B can continue to surprise and amaze us?
Keith Urban — ”Long Hot Summer”
Cee Lo Green — “Crazy” / “Bright Lights Bigger City” / “Forget You”
The Coachella performer pulled off a feat not seen since Tommy Lee’s rotating drum kit.
The Black Eyed Peas — ”Just Can’t Get Enough” / “I Gotta Feeling”
Lady Antebellum — ”Just A Kiss”
Ke$ha — ”Animal” / “Blow”
Britney Spears + Nicki Minaj — “Super Bass” / “Till The World Ends (Remix)”:
Is it just us or does Brit actually look like she’s enjoying herself out there?! (But what’s with the giant chicken?) A whole tour with Nicki might bring our beloved Femme Fatale back to life.
Mary J. Blige feat. Lil Wayne — “Someone To Love Me”
Taio Cruz — ”Break Your Heart” / “Dynamite”

its just you, Britney looked like she couldnt get off the stage soon enough. UGH.
Ya I love Britney but she needs to retire. I thought it was funny when Will I am made the comment about singers born in the studio…did he forget he worked with Britney??? He shouldn’t have said that especially when he over produces and auto tunes everything.
Based on first hour of the show, it was lame, non-exciting. Then switched to Apprentice finale and stayed there till the end
Britney looked like she was forced to do the stage and couldn’t wait to run away of it…
I mean she looked so dumb when she show up at the opening lyp synching and not even giving a single emotion while doing it and all of that after we saw Rihanna singing live… That’s so unrespectfull towards fans and everyone watching!
What about her moves? She couldn’t even do a fckin pillow fight!???? o.O
I loved the opening it was hot, and Brit and Rihanna looked gorgeous, to me it did not look like she wanted to get off the stage. She killed the entrance and gave the energy it needed during the whole thing
Beyonce destroyed everyone, I knew she was going to blow us away but wow. that was perfection. She never disappoints she is a entertainer, as for Britney, she was a complete and utter embarrassment this was her first award show performance in the states since the 07 VMA’s and even that was a hell of a lot better than this. Her lip syncing was the worst she didn’t even try to mouth the actual lyrics she just opened her mouth and shut it to the words she was a complete waste of time during the Nicki performance. Keep on walking till the world ends. Niel Diamond had more energy than Rihanna and Britney combined.
Beyonce was excellent as usual, but I can’t tell you how suprised I was to be impressed with Ke$ha’s performance! It was nice to see a “softer” side of her singing ‘Animal’ followed by a wicked awesome performance of ‘Blow.’ She sang better than I expected and had so much energy . . . it was really fun to watch. I wanna dance in the rain of those glitter guns! I absolutely adore Britney and Rihanna but I really felt that their performance was lacking. Britney’s ‘Femme Fatale’ is DA BOMB . . . but man was her live performance of ‘Till the World Ends’ . . um . . .dissapointing?! Atleast she looked happy, right?!
Zombrit!!
Yeah,Beyonce is a joke! She stole her whole solo career, while stealing everybody’s stuff, passing it off as her own.Her performance and song was nothing we never seen before. She stole from Michael & Janet, and HP commercial,so to call this b*tch epic is delusional. Why didn’t Madonna get a Millenium award? She has accomplished more than Beyonce ever will. This chick payed for an award because she wasn’t nominated for none.Anything to try and steal Rihanna’s shine, but she failed.Female Artist of The Year,Radio Artist Of The Year proved that! By the way, women don’t run sh*t but their mouths, men run this MUTHA!
She copied again! No wonder she’s friends w/ the #1 copycat Lady Gaga http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4ZBeUR0UhI&feature=channel_video_title
The Billboards were awesome this year! And what’s more, everyone’s speech was safe from the likes (or dislikes) of Kanye West!
