Lady Gaga, Beyonce & Carrie Underwood Reportedly Set For ‘American Idol’ Medley

If this Hollywood Reporter item is true, American Idol judge Steven Tyler is set to take the stage with some big name rag dolls on tonight’s Season 10 finale. The publication reports that a “production source” has revealed the Aerosmith frontman will be joined by Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood and recent mentors Lady Gaga and Beyonce, who will perform a group medley along with this year’s finalists Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. That’s a lot of star wattage on one stage!

We already know that Bono and The Edge of U2 will be performing tonight alongside the Broadway cast of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Additionally, the Reporter notes an unconfirmed rumor that Tyler’s fellow pop star judge Jennifer Lopez will follow up her recent Idol performance of her hit “On The Floor” with more stage antics on tonight’s finale.

At least Gaga is potentially going to make up for the big tease from two weeks ago, where we thought we were in for a live performance but it ended up just being a clip from her HBO special.

What say you, Idol fans — do you think a Steven Tyler/Gaga/Beyonce/Carrie Underwood medley with the finalists sounds hot, or is it more likely to be a hot mess?
