Beyonce stans are having quite the week — and it just got twice as nice. 4‘s opening song “1+1″ is up, and it’s the sort of achy, rafter-reaching ballad that helped turn I Am… Sasha Fierce into a blockbuster. Ms. Knowles performs a little arithmetic to build her latest slow-burn jam: a fraction of Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You”, plus a quantum of School House Rock, multiplied by Beyonce’s own “Halo” vocals, and there you have it. Perhaps like “Run The World (Girls)”, this will just take some time to grow on us, but the evidently renamed “End Of Time” siren seems to be channeling Little Richard in this tune. Jump below and judge for yourselves.
“I don’t know much about Algebra, but I know that one plus one equals two,” Beyonce sings like a love sick mathematician.
Sorry, B as far as songs that combine relationships with arithmetic, we prefer the Spice Girls’ “2 Become 1″ . But what did you think? Let us know how “1+1″ adds up for you in the comments, on Facebook or Twitter.

Im not digging this..
LOVE THIS!!!!
does anyone know where i can get the lyrics to this?
this is obviously a love song. so u can either hate it or love it, but im on the love bandwagon
i love this song…
now this is a song worthy of her voice. People will call it boring b/c its not a brainless dance track, but seriously people; this is how you sing a song.
raddah raddah I hate Beyonce raddah raddah but i’m commenting on every article about her raddah raddah. Anywho i REALLY love this song. I was singing it earlier, and everyone thought I was crazy singing 1+1 is 2 with a dead serious expression
1+1=2
Beyonce+This song = Perfect!
Failtastic lyric #100 ____________________
I prefer any of Adele’s ballads than this crap! Anyday.
Her voice and the instrumental sound fantastic.
But
she needs better material and lyrics.
Seriously? “1+1+2″ BEYONCE, YOU CAN GET BETTER SONGWRITING THAN THAT. FOR REAL.
Beyonce should have released a more uptempo song as her second single. We all know “Run The World (Girls)” failed, but it’s the summer after all. We’d all rather hear something we can blast at the beach. I disapprove.
dont care for it, misght have to hear it a few times
It’s a nice ballad, worthy of Beyonce’s voice, but not the right choice for a follow-up single to Run The World or this time of the year. The other leaked song, End of Time, would’ve been better as a midtempo radio-friendly summer track.
You all are never satisfied. RTW was a epic fail to you all, now she brings out a song that really brings out her voice and some of you all are complaining. People make up your mind. I, for one, am absolutely in love with this song. Go Bey.
