Whether there was something to that kiss Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina shared on last week’s American Idol finale or not, the Season 10 winner is playing it cool. He appeared on this morning’s Live! With Regis And Kelly, and naturally the two hosts tried to pry some info on his relationship with Lauren out of Scotty. “I’m single. Me and Lauren are like brother and sister,” McCreery told them. Are you buying it? Watch below, non-believers!
“Everybody keeps asking about that kiss that she gave me,” Scotty said about his “friend” Lauren. “She told me before the show, she said, ‘Look, I’m gonna plant one on you if you win.”
And as for that “brother and sister” line, Kelly Ripa piped up with this: “My husband and I used to say that about each other, too.”
Are you secretly hoping there’s a behind-the-scenes romance brewing for these two country-crooning teens?
I’m absolutely sure he’s gay.
Then why did he announce, “To Lauren, we’ve been together since day one and we’re staying together. I love you Baby.”? This is stupid. No one cares if they are together or not, so why are they hiding it?

Actually, Scotty fixed the posture thing–he was so used to playing guitar. And you might want to watch him on Regis & Kelly if it gets posted on you tube….he just sang with a piano and it was beautiful. He can sing.

They had been together since day one and currently they are staying together for the rest of the summer. They may have considered dating at one point during the competition, just based on what was shown on tv, but I would say around top 7- top 6 week it changed and went the brother sister friends route. There is a change in body language around that time. Even when she kissed him multiple times, Scotty just brushed it off. Now I would say Lauren may have a thing for Scotty, but she seems to be getting over it, especially the vibe in the leno interview. There would be no need to hide it. But then you have the other main couple this year: Haley & Casey, even tho they deny it, not really taking much effort to hide it. Casey basically lived in that studio after he was voted off and went with the top 4 places as my guess, haley’s date. Scotty also said to James: I love you, man. The only other person he said out of the cast he said he loved at that time. My guess is Lauren and James just happen to be the people he is closest to this year. I am going to believe him when he says he is single, but I would not be surprised if he has a crush on someone.
I am willing to give him famous with a good career but no male country singer is doing that great now and none under 25y/o due to having to live some to put the right emotions in to their songs to make people believe it.
This is the first time the winners song was written directly for country and all past Idol have hit the top of the charts for a week or 2 after winning. I personally think his first album will be a semi-flop, maybe going gold but his 2th will due far better. That is based on the fact he will be rushed some to put out a quick album and most the better songs will have been pick by current big name singers.
