The single cover for Selena Gomez & The Scene’s “Bang Bang Bang,” the latest offering from upcoming LP When The Sun Goes Down, isn’t the only thing retro about the sassy jam — it actually sounds like the best song synth-pop duo Erasure never recorded in the ’80s. Following yesterday’s 20-second tease of the Toby Gad-produced song, the full shebang-bang-bang has been added to iTunes today. Listen below! Gomez sounds utterly smitten with her “new boy” in “Bang Bang Bang,” while still maintaining a vindictive streak for her rat of an ex.

“I hope you slip and fall and trip all over my heart, and just lay there alone, yeah, you got what you wanted,” she sings before rubbing in that she’s “moved on to the next.”

“Bang Bang Bang” is just a promo single that’s been released on iTunes in the countdown to Gomez’s new album. But we say it’s her finest musical moment since her breakthrough hit “Naturally,” and deserves a full-on single push following the release of “Love You Like A Love Song.”

Let us know if “Bang Bang Bang” has you seeing fireworks, or if you think Selena fizzled out this time around!
