If Ke$ha likes “Till The World Ends,” a song she wrote for Britney Spears, better than her own material, maybe Brit-Brit in turn will feel the same about “Whiplash,” a tune on Selena Gomez & The Scene’s upcoming When The Sun Goes Down LP that the Femme Fatale co-penned? The track has now surfaced online — crash into it below! “So come on and take me to the other side / I’m gonna wait, when I look into your eyes / I’m so in love, I think I’m going to crash and get whiplash, whiplash, whiplash,” Selena sings on the chorus of sultry dance-pop number “Whiplash.”

Sassy and electro-tinged, “Whiplash” is quite a change of pace from “Who Says,” the beat-and-guitar-driven self-empowerment jam that served as the first single off When The Sun Goes Down. Of course, Selena does describe her forthcoming record as being more “techno dance” in her current Billboard cover story.

Meanwhile, Britney isn’t the only pop star connection Selena makes on her new LP — album track “That’s More Like It” was co-penned by the muse behind her 2010 Halloween costume, Katy Perry, and “We Own The Night” was co-written by English singer Pixie Lott.

MTV News notes that “Whiplash” is rumored to have originally been considered for Spears’ 2008 album Circus, which, if the case, would mean Britney didn’t specifically co-write the song with Gomez in mind.

Are you digging Selena’s “Whiplash,” or do you think it’s a song best left for the likes of Britney Spears to sing?
