We suppose it might be impossible for an artist whose last name contains the name of an alcoholic beverage not to enjoy her libations. Only an even-less-subtle surname like Amy Drunk could more properly foretell the troubles the Grammy-winning “Party” girl would face in a downward spiral even Britney Spears circa 2007 might find alarming. Apparently trying to make a comeback, the troubled star only succeeded in making a sloppy spectacle of herself by appearing very intoxicated at a concert in Belgrade, effectively killing off most of our hopes that she might return to her former glory with a new album. Of course we’re still hoping for the best for this talented woman, but her incoherent shout-outs and stumbling during this performance does not bode well. It’s disappointing, since Winehouse was recently looking good and actually showing up for her half-decent concerts. (And to think we never thought we’d see a worse showing from her than this one.)
Apparently her team agrees that Winehouse’s set of shows in Europe weren’t a good idea after all. “Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home,” a released statement said. The tour, however, is set to resume on July 8. We’re positive Amy will have her act together in less than three weeks. Right?

This is just too sad. I love Amy Winehouse’s album Back To Black and just seeing her like that makes me incredibly sad because: One, it tells me she won’t be writing any amazing song in that state anytime soon; two, makes me think that her career is so soon to end if she doesn’t do something about her life; three, makes me sad for her life, because there’s a reason why she gets like that all the time and either she doesn’t have anybody to worry about her and take care of her, or she just wants to end her life! Because that’s what will happen if she continues like this! Sad, sad…
