What’s with all the recent “Jagger” references in pop today? First Ke$ha is kicking non-Mick Jagger-like suitors to the curb in “TiK ToK”, then Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera are waxing poetic on the moves of the Rolling Stones frontman in “Moves Like Jagger”, and now Cher Lloyd, a finalist from the seventh season of The X Factor, is dropping a video for “Swagger Jagger”. Sure, she’s referring to a style-jacker and not the heavily lauded swagger of the 67-year-old rocker, but we’re pretty sure Cher is just trying to hop on the Jagger-adoring trend. Anyway, it’s right before a holiday weekend and it’s a slow news day, so you might as well watch her new video below.

Maybe we’re just antsy thinking about the impending festival of picnic delights we’ll be ingesting all weekend long, but this is one of the most irritating songs we’ve ever heard. We recommend you do yourself a favor and listen to a much similar-sounding and yet infinitely less annoying song:

Oh, dear. Is this a new thing? Are we going to be flooded with dance remakes of public domain songs? Lady Gaga will appeal to the San Francisco crowd with ‘What Shall We Do with a Drunken Sailo,’ and then Cascada will inevitably follow with a sexy take on ‘Old MacDonald Had a Farm’.
