Since Kanye West was not busy preparing to unleash his Jay-Z collaboration Watch The Throne this holiday weekend, the fashionable rapper had plenty of time to wax poetic about a prior Jay-Z collaboration during his set at Milwaukee’s Summerfest 2011 on Thursday. “I don’t even give f***ing interviews,” ‘Ye poetically stated during a performance of “Monster” — so this spoken interlude is the best way to hear what’s on his mind. The “Party” boy had plenty to say against “commercialized yes men” and those who slammed his “Monster” video as misogynistic, before transitioning into a heartfelt “thank you” for his fans’ support. See it below.
What do you think of Kanye’s speech? Another ego trip, or does he make some valid and interesting points?

I appreciate Kanye for always speaking his mind. Granted that some of the thing he says may not be agreeable, there is always truth in what he says. If you listen to his albums, you can tell that Kanye is a real passionate and soulful dude. Kanye doesn’t care about being a media darling. At the end of the day he knows he only owes it to his fans and supporters and if you’ve ever seen him perform live you know that he never lets them down.
