Sad, sad news in the music world today — Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her Camden flat at the age of 27. As of now, there is no official word on the cause of death, but after reports (and photographic evidence) that the “Valerie” songbird was faring better after rehab, last month she appeared very much not recovered, slurring her words and acting belligerently intoxicated at a concert in Belgrade. (She cancelled the rest of that planned European tour.) This news does not come as a shock, but certainly is devastating given Winehouse’s obvious talent and early acclaim, winning five Grammys for 2006′s Back In Black.
Now we will never get that follow-up album we were so desperately hoping for.

Lets all be honest here, this is sad its always unfortunate to lose a talented singer before their time, but lets face it this is a shock to no one with her behavior it was only a matter of time. The drugs just meant to much to her, not even her critically acclaimed career was reason enough to clean up her act.

It is sad that someone with so much talent has passed away. I believe that everyone decides to do what they want to do and that is the beauty of life. I ask that we do not judge her life style, that was her life and she decided to live it how she wanted. I ask however that she is recognized for what she spoke to us through her songs. I was not a super fan but i enjoyed her songs they were honest and deep. I think a lot of us pretend to be what the world expects us to be. We should be who in reality we want to be without harming ourselves or others. RIP AMY WINEHOUSE!!!!!!! :(
