Cobra Starship And Ryan Tedder Celebrate “#1Nite” On New Song

Late night party pop delinquents Cobra Starship are celebrating like there’s no tomorrow in their new song “#1Nite (One Night)”, off their August 30 release Night Shades. Ryan Tedder adds his vocals to the rousing club tune — apparently the singer-songwriter-producer got a taste of the night life while working with other fete-throwers Far East Movement. “Tomorrow mornin’ well be leaving / Let’s keep it rockin’ til daylight / Gotta live like we’ve got one life, one life, one life / Gotta live like we got one night, one night, one night,” busts out frontman Gape Saporta, with Tedder also chiming in.

With Euro dance beats back in place, this sounds like a cousin to Chris Brown’s “Yeah 3X”. It fits in quite well with everything else out of the Guetta Age of Dance Music we’re currently in, and though we think that makes the group’s chances of scoring a hit that much greater, we’d rather have a song showcasing the group’s silliness over them releasing basic dancefloor filler.
