Mark Foster, Mark Pontius and Cubbie Fink — better known as Foster The People — certainly pumped up the masses during Day 1 of Lollapalooza yesterday. Reportedly, the Los Angeles trio had fans crowd surfing as far as the eye could see. In addition to their well known singles (including a personal favorite of ours, “Helena Beat”), the Idolator interviewees also performed a cover of Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold”. To which, we’re sure young audience members said, “Hey, this sounds like that guy Jimmy Fallon imitates.” Click through to check out highlights from the Torches band in Chicago.
