When we first heard a preview of the chorus for Jessie J’s new collaboration with Dr. Luke, “Domino”, both the production and the Brit singer’s vocals reminded us of one particular California gurl. The full-length track surfaced online today, and yep, still sounds like a Teenage Dream leftover. Listen to “Domino” below.

The song begins with a bouncy guitar riff, then the “Who’s Laughing Now” singer bursts in, declaring “I’m feeling sexy and free”, before requesting that you “Take me down like I’m a domino” on the chorus. Jessie sounds gorgeous on this track, but we still can’t not hear Katy Perry on this song. That could either help her chances scoring some new fans in the US, or it could welcome some unfavorable comparisons.
It’s unclear at this point if the song is intended for Jessie’s sophomore album, though we do have word that the song is set to drop as a single on August 30.
Jessie J is so under rated! she has a great voice, hopefully people will hear “Domino” and realize the talent that this woman has. I’ve loved her from the start. She actually wrote Party in the USA for Mylie Cyrus….which most people don’t know. Great song and great artist, keep it up Jessie J! : )
definitely sounds something like katy perry would have sung in teenage dream BUT the difference is this girl actually has talent and CAN sing so i really hope this becomes a hit it sounds like Last Friday Night + Teenage Dream so jessie j can score a top ten just make a fun video and here we go!
It’s a great song & I love it, gets you grooving! The reason the lyrics and the song sounds so much like Katy Perry is that she helped Jesse write & produce this song, or so the net says.

this is a really awesome song and im not going to lie when i first heard this song i did think that it was Katy Perry singing. but that aside that this is a really awesome song and Jessie J has a really beautiful voice and deserves a lot of recognition for her work
