“Every girl is capable of murder if you hurt her,” warns 21-year-old Cady Groves on her debut RCA Records single “This Little Girl.” It’s an upbeat, edgy pop jam that, aside from it brimming over with the Oklahoma singer-songwriter’s sass and bite, comes packed with solid production work by Kristian Lundin. Have your first listen of “This Little Girl” by newcomer Cady below!
It’s no wonder that Groves, who co-penned her first single with Sean Douglas and Tom Meredith, has a way with words when writing about relationships — she was introduced to Alanis Morissette’s searingly-honest breakthrough LP Jagged Little Pill at age four by her mother!
“I remember she put Jagged Little Pill on in our fifteen-passenger van and I thought, ‘Yeah, this is it.’ It felt like something I could actually do,” says Cady, who grew up in Marlow, OK. “So I would belt out Alanis songs in the van. That was when I started singing.”
Groves also grew up listening to soul-infused pop icons Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera. Now, two decades later, she’s finally ready to unleash her own major label album (it’s due out in early 2012).

Producer Kristian Lundin is, of course, no stranger to crafting standout pop songs. Britney Spears’ “Born To Make You Happy,” Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” and *NSync’s “Tearin’ Up My Heart” and “Bye Bye Bye” are just four infectious jams he’s had a hand in.
“No other girl could sing these songs, because they’re my life experiences,” Groves says about the material she’s recorded for her debut record. “That’s what I wanted. The album reeks of heartache; it’s about a girl just trying to figure out life.”
“This Little Girl” will be made available as a free download next week at cadygroves.com. Follow Cady on Twitter at @CadyGroves to find out when, and to be tuned in to more exciting things involving the singer in the weeks to come.

Fantastic, fantastic, brilliant. I’ve been with Cady since the tiny beginnings of her career and I’m so happy to witness all of this growth. I will always love Cady Groves.
Love it!!! I’m so proud of Cady! I went to high school with this girl and I couldn’t be more excited for her!!!!
I love it & Cady, she’s amazingly talented and it’s about time she got the exposure she deserves
I am so in love with this! Cady is with out a doubt one of my favorite people ever and I only hope that the rest of her new album is as good as this, which I know it will be. Plus it came out on the best day possible, my 16th birthday!
I love this song and Cady! So proud of her. She deserves so much more acknowedgement. She’s amazing, I hope she goes far. I’ll always love her. <3 x
ive never hated one of cady grove’s songs, even ones she’s been featured it. shes gone farther than i thought she ever would in such a short time. and im such a big fan that i know much about her life’s history that this song is just so powerful, especially knowing it came from her. this way i truly know that she has had these feelings and she understands other peoples situations instead of other more famous artists like katy perry or miley cyrus where they probably dont know much about it but just sing it anyway cause they’re told to..
This girl and hot and the song makes her even hotter. I love Cady Groves and want to hear more from her.
I’m so happy for Cady. When I first met her she was just a small, unknown girl with a huge dream. And now look at her just a year later. I’m so happy for her. She deserves this more than anyone out there.
Oh my word. absolutely incredible. Cady is an amazing singer and deserves everything she is going to get from this song.
i love this song and Cady!! SHe truly deserves all the success in the world
This song is freakin good and I love it.
Proud of my momma.
This song is so good i couldn’t love it anymore, but the picture on the album cover is so edited you can’t even tell she has freckles. They made her,her just my opinion
All right song, but where are songs like Last Straw. Cady in the beginning was so real, so raw. Now, so pop? That’s sad, don’t let pop music eat you up, Cady, stand out like you used to.
Oh my gosh Cady it’s great! A part of me wishes that you were still kinda underground, but I’m so epically excited for you and for your new album coming out =] Stay strong, there’s so many people behind you in everything you do!
its definitely different from her old stuff, but this song is amazing and I really love it!!!!
Watch the live version of this.. its guitar driven very raw.
Nice Song Cady
She said that she’s always wanted to do pop, she just couldn’t afford the full band. This is her dream.

Say hello to Kristian from me – he totally rocks!

Am I the only one who hates this?
Maybe it’s because I hate her as a person that I can’t stand any of her music anymore…
She stabbed my friend in the back by cheating with her boyfriend and now Cady and the guy flaunt it in her face every chance they get.
