Looks like T.I. is a free man after all, despite a report yesterday saying news of an early release scheduled for today was incorrect. TMZ says Clifford Harris, Jr. left an Arkansas prison and “is on his way to either a community living facility or home confinement.” The site also reports that Chris Burke, spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, told them T.I. was released at 7:29 AM local time and will begin the next leg of his sentence. “Feels great to be back where I belong…Back in the arms of those who need me the most,” T.I. tweeted an hour ago. He then added, “The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!”

Last October, T.I. was sentenced to 11 months in prison after being busted nearly a year ago while driving in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles with marijuana, ecstasy and codeine in his possession — a clear violation of his parole. He entered prison on November 1.

The rapper initially had a release date of September 29.
