The legendary Buddy Holly, who died in the infamous 1959 plane crash with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper, would have turned 75 today, and the bespectacled rock n’ roller was honored this morning with his very own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Even if you can’t make it out to LA to snap a pic with his star, you can still celebrate what has officially been dubbed Buddy Holly Day — might we suggest popping in either one of his new tribute albums and listening to Cee Lo Green and Patrick Stump‘s covers?
