James Earl "Jimmy" Carter, Jr. was the President Of The United States in office the year Pink was born. Prior to taking office he had served as Georgia's State Senator and Governor. It's hard to believe that before our 39th Commander In Chief took office, our country had no Department Of Education. Carter would only serve one term, losing to Ronald Regan in the 1980 election. /
