Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends” Gets VH1 ‘Pop Up Video’ Treatment

VH1’s Pop Up Video first premiered 15 (!!!) years ago, and ran until 2002. And much like MTV’s retooled Beavis And Butt-head, the informational/snarky series is back with all new episodes (starting October 3). One of the first vids to get bubbled is Britney Spears’ apocalyptic dance-a-thon “Till The World Ends.” Did you know Britney travels with six former British intelligence bodyguards? Or that her dancers in the clip all had to pass a drug test? No? Then pop below! Pop Up Video producers clearly aren’t about to shy away from the more controversial aspects of artists’ lives. Britney’s stint in rehab is mentioned, due to the fact that a beer had to be removed from the set. (Also noted: Brit’s mom was on hand during the whole shoot, “huddled” around her.)

Other tongue-in-cheek references are made to Britney’s dancers getting wet during the shoot, the manhole she climbs up through and the fact that the singer “always uses protection.”

Oh, those weren’t tongue-in-cheek references? Guess that tells you where our heads are at…
