Apparently, there are still benefits to buying a physical copy of an album — J. Cole might sign your CD! Yesterday, the rapper hit up the J&R in downtown New York to sign copies of his debut LP Cole World: The Sideline Story, and quite a crowd formed. Check out the scene below!

After signing his last disc, Cole and his manager Mark Pitts reportedly bought the remainder of the store’s inventory. Looks like he’s doing whatever he can to make sure he bests Blink-182 on the charts next week.

Yesterday was one busy day for the Roc Nation MC — he filmed a Livestream chat in the morning, signed autographs at both J&R and Computer World, chatted with Angie Martinez on her radio show, and stopped by 106 & Park to answer Twitter questions and perform a few numbers. All in a day’s work!

Did you pick up a copy of Cole’s album?
