Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” Video: Which Hair Color Will She Sport?

Looks like Katy Perry isn’t content to simply tie Michael Jackson’s record of having five chart-topping songs from one album — she’s on her way to setting a new standard by releasing “The One That Got Away” as her sixth single from Teenage Dream. A press release states that the video is being shot “in the coming days.” Wonder if she’ll be sporting pink hair in the clip, or black. Maybe green? Blue?

“I’m so pleased to select ‘The One That Got Away’ as my sixth single because this song shows a very different side of me that I haven’t shown with my past singles on this record,” Perry is quoted saying in the press release. “I think that everyone can relate to this song. I wrote this song about when you promise someone forever, but you end up not being able to follow through. It’s a bittersweet story – hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had ‘The One’ get away”

Like previous single “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”, Max Martin and Dr. Luke co-produced “The One That Got Away.” Here’s hoping, for Katy’s sake, that the song’s title doesn’t prove to be prophetic when with regards to its chart-topping prospects.
