Jessie J has been churning out the music videos left and right lately — since August we’ve seen clips for “Who’s Laughing Now” and “Who You Are”, as well as a preview of her James Morrison collaboration “Up”.  Now we can add the visual for the Katy Perry-like “Domino” to the list. Watch Jessie jet across the States in her newest video below. The “Domino” vid mixes up black-and-white shots (save for the purple lipstick, of course) of Jessie as she hops across the States for promotional appearances and clips of her singing in a throne-like chair (perhaps due to her recent foot injury).

MTV Buzzworthy, who premiered the “Domino” video, spoke to the singer at the MTV VMAs, where she acted as house singer:

“People have heard ‘Domino’ and said ‘it’s nothing like you.’ But… the album’s really eclectic anyway, and I never go into the studio and say ‘I wanna do another song that’s like ‘Price Tag’ or another song like ‘Do It Like A Dude.’ I listened to a lot of Whitney and Prince… and we kinda just wanted to write a song that’s timeless, that’s fun and uplifting.”

Indeed, it is an upbeat pop song. But given that she worked with Dr. Luke on it, the Katy Perry comparisons are pretty much inevitable. We can’t help feeling that a video with a bit more going on than “on the road” footage could have set it apart from the pack, though.

Oh, well — here’s “Domino”:
