Hey, independent women: Drake just wrote you a brand new anthem, with help from his Young Money cohort and Twitter wifey, Nicki Minaj. On “Make Me Proud,” a throbbing club-banger off his delayed sophomore album Take Care, Drizzy toasts all the “bad as f—” ladies (Nicki included) who “got it” — which, you know, means accomplishing important goals. Hear it after the jump.

Drake offers some words of empowerment in the chorus, rapping: “I know things get hard, but girl you got it / girl you got it, there you go / Can’t you tell by how they looking at you everywhere you go? / Wondering what’s on your mind / it must be hard to be that fine…” (See the full lyrics to “Make Me Proud” over at DirectLyrics.)

Nicki, who we know is a role model for young, viral stars everywhere, jumps in with a verse recounting her accolades — wealth, skill, property, etc. — and dissing all the “dumb b—-es [she] badder than.”

We can’t wait to find out if Harajuku Barbie will join Drake on the SNL stage Saturday night to perform the track.

Will “Make Me Proud” be replacing Beyoncé on your female-empowerment playlist anytime soon? Tell us in the comments!
